Smoky Bacon & Bourbon BBQ Sauce

Ingredience

  • 4 tbsp Smoky bacon nooch
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1 Garlic clove, chopped
  • 125g Tinned chopped tomatoes
  • 120ml Tomato ketchup
  • 30g Dijon mustard
  • 45ml Vegan worcestershire sauce
  • 45ml Apple cider vinegar
  • 45ml Golden syrup
  • 45ml Bourbon
  • 110g Dark brown sugar
  • 1.5 tsp Mustard powder

Method

Add a small drizzle of oil into a sauce pan, then cook up the onion and garlic until translucent.

Add all other ingredients in and cook on a low heat for 15/20 minutes until the mixture has reduced by a third.

Blitz in a high powered blender or use a stick blender until a smooth consistency.

Bottled up and kept in a fridge, this will last up to 3 months.
